This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Quilted Keeley Satchel in Black Silky Calf Leather with Golden Brass Hardware.

A classic, concertina-cassette, medium sized satchel flap with debossed, choc-box and mini stitched quilting crafted from a firm, luxuriously thick and finely grained, silky calfskin hide.

The triple Riders Lock with its decorative chain feature (which can be removed completely if you prefer a more tailored look,) gives it a fabuously egdy feel.

A semi-structured silhouette with just the right amount of give, it's easy to use (a self locating popper closure,) and is an ideal size for everyday.

Details -

At first review you'd be forgiven for thinking it was brand new. Colour consistent, perfectly shaped, no wear to corners or curves, protective film in place on base popper, all stitching strong and inking (edge sealent,) entirely in place.

Only when inspecting very closely (and angling to view) can you note a number of light, fingernail scratches* to the smooth calfskin hide. One to the front, RH side of the Mulberry England lettering, a couple to the upper LH, top curve of the flap, one to the rear, LH sides quilted chequers, a couple to the RH side of the base, one to the LH side panel and two to the underside of the shoulder strap. All barely visible to the naked eye,  and shown in detail in the Gallery above.

A linear sit impression across the last hole of the shoulder strap where the buckle has been set, all hardware is excellent and the smooth, oxblood, calfskin lined interior shows no use.

The interior of the flap is lined in soft, oxblood suede with natural, very minor, horizontal flattenning to the pile across the middle area where it rests on the top aperture when closed.
