in heavy grain black leather with dark (smoked) silver tone hardware.

Extremely difficult to now find, the Edie is a lovely satchel style bag.

Just the right size for everyday and super comfortable to carry, its crafted from Mulberry's heavy grain leather, showing the individual grain of the leather which has received a light waterproof treatment.

It's designed to age over time to acquire a more vintage look and get even lovelier with age and use.

Details

The leather is glorious. Colour consistent, supple, deeply grained  and soft without any marks or wear to the corners.

Softened throughout, especially to the top flap, inking is excellent and the top handle is well shaped and firm.

The hardware is very good, just showing some light hairline scratches and fricton rubbing beneath the lockplates.

The long, embroidered shoulder strap is slightly softened with light rubbing to the fibres of the embroidery.

The interior is fully lined in clean Mulberry silk repeat fabric with a side zip pocket but the main point to note is the front, RH fold detail* on the aperture of the bag has opened due the holding stitch coming away. The other three are all firmly in place.

This isn't very noticable (even the previous owner didn't know it was there!) and doesn't affect the bag structurally in any way. It would be a very minor repair for Mulberry (or an experienced Cobbler) should the buyer wish and so has been reflected in the price.
