100% authentic Mulberry Roxanne

in Chocolate Darwin Leather with bronze finish hardware.

Thick, stiff and utterly divine, deep chocolate darwin. This is a hide that will grow even lovelier with age and use.

Unused, just stored carefully since purchase, this stunning Roxy appears, at first glance, to look perfect in every way.

Classified as Substandard (by the 'O' imprinted to the inner badge) this could have been for two reasons. Some dot like imperfections on the hide on the LH side of the base or the small cluster of vertical line impressions on the LH side panel of the bag, (see Photo gallery below).

The reason for the * rating is due to the rivet on the front RH pocket which has popped off, (front part still present). An occupational hazard of the Roxanne, due to the leather thickness and its construction this is quite commonly found and these rivets can be replaced by Mulberry at a cost of approx £25 (hardware colour matching is not always possible).

This particular rivet is likely to have been dislodged due to a missing stitch to its RH side which has put pressure on the self locating popper, causing the rivet to strain and break.

Please also note the 'green' around some of the rivets (see close up pictures) which is caused by oxidisation in storage. This can be carefully removed with a cotton bud or gauze coated toothpick. It does not affect the finish in any way.

Priced to reflect her issues, she's a much lovelier bag in the flesh than a listing of her faults make her sound.

As with many Mulberrys made during this era, there is no serial number on the reverse of the internal round metal fob.
