100% authentic Mulberry oversized Alexa (Substandard)

in Black mini leopard patent with shiny dark nickel hardware.

 

Uber cool-casual, this eye-catching yet slightly subdued lexy, has sparkle and seriousness, all wrapped into one.

Details -

Designated substandard due to the slight undulation on the RH side of the top flap, this is hardly noticable in use as the form and shape of this Lexy is soft and mouldable.

The reason for the * rating is due the small cracks to the patent on the upper LH side of the strap beneath the top handle, to the interior LH aperture and to the underside of the long shoulder strap. A common feature of patent leather when its stitched, its extremely well camoflagued by the liquid gloss patent's reflective nature. The photos capture these very noticably as to the naked eye they are almost invisible and though they don't affect the use of the bag in any way, this has been reflected in the price.

Still with its rich leather aroma, the overlaid suede leather is all in an as-new condition throughout. A very soft and slouchy hide, its given some structure by the rolled patent piping which is also in an excellent condition. No wear at the corners, (any white marks visible in the photos are purely reflections of the light), no rubs, nicks, crinkles or scratches its a bag that will naturally 'puddle' when empty but retains a nice, slouchy shape when in use.

Inking is excellent throughout, even at flexing points and the plait feature top handle is all perfect.

Protective film in place under lock plates and the postmans lock displays some hairline scratches, though the turnlock is excellent (it looks like there is finish loss to the end in the photo but this is a reflection of my mirrors on the wall!)

The strap ends displays some surface scratching, but no dulling or tarnish.

The front poppers are slightly dulled and the LH side one has an area of tarnish to its LH side.

The interior is fully lined in clean black Mulberry silk repeat fabric with one small mark to the RH of the embossed disc.
