This is a 100% authentic Mulberry smaller sized Edie Satchel

in Black heavy grain leather with shiny, dark nickel-silver tone hardware.

Extremely difficult to now find, the Edie is a lovely satchel style bag.

Just the right size for everyday and super comfortable to carry, its crafted from Mulberry's heavy grain leather, showing the individual grain of the leather which has received a light waterproof treatment.

It's designed to age over time to acquire a more vintage look and get even lovelier with age and use.

Details

The leather is glorious. Colour consistent, supple, deeply grained  and soft without any marks or wear.

Supple and slouchy, (see her when empty), you may like to use a felt liner inside to give her more structure if you prefer a less puddly bag. (Not included)

Softened throughout, especially to the top flap which shows the natural undulations inherent in the construction of this design, the two embossed pushlocks beneath create this wavy silhouette.

Stitching and inking (edge sealent) is all in place and the top handle is well shaped and firm with just two shallow surface impressions to the edge in the middle.

The dark, smoked silver Postmans Lock Plate displays light hairline scratches and fricton rubbing around the turnlock hole. There is scratching, light pitting and friction rubbing between the two underneath lockplates and light scratching to the base plates of the pushlocks.

The long, embroidered shoulder strap is softened with general rubbing to the fibres of the embroidery and the leather underside, wonderfully soft and creasy.

Lined in clean black Mulberry tree fabric with two light marks to the inner front wall. The top flap is lined in soft, ruffled suede.
