Balenciaga Classic Box Bag in Caramel Chevre - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Balenciaga 

Box Bag in Caramel Chevre Goatskin

with classic dark aged brass hardware.

A beautiful bag, sadly no longer made by Balenciaga, similar in size to the Twiggy but shorter and deeper and with a capacity close to the City, its a perfect day bag.

A fabulous surface sheen that makes the finish perfect for the UK climate, the caramel colour changes colour from a yellow toned ochre to a rich toffee, dependant on how the light catches it.

Details -

Little actual wear, the corners display light surface rubs and the middle of leather strap in each of the decorative corner buckles on the front shows a spot of rubbing, but colouration is good and the hide retains its original, crackly sheen.

Nicely softened, the leather is naturally creasy and distressed, disguising a tiny surface catch on the RH of the LH side panel well, (see last photo quad above)

Hardware is excellent throughout and the inking, (edge sealent) firm without crackling or fraying to the side loops.

The detachable strap is excellent and the top handles are well shaped, still firm and clean with unworn whipstitching. As is often seen on these peices, there are surface impressions created by the flat headed studs when the handles lay down in storage , (see last photo quad above)

A single, pin head sized spot to the reverse LH side of the bag , (see last photo quad above), any white 'marks' visible in the photos are purely light reflections.

The leather clad mirror is excellent but all current tassles are softened, kinked and very close to seperating, (as the construction is two strips glued together). This doesn't affect the bag in any way and the bag comes with replacement tassles so these can be replaced, should the buyer wish)

Entirely clean, black cotton lined interior with a side zipped pocket.

Detachable flat should strap has a drop of 23cm (please note that if the bag is full, the depth makes the shoulder drop quite snug)
