This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Elgin in Chocolate Natural Leather with Bronze Hardware.

Now a vintage piece, this roomy tote bag is ideal for A4 files or large tech, so perfect as a work bag as can carry load with ease.

Crafted from a wonderfully thick, supple and incredibly robust NVT hide, its a Mulberry you'll never need to baby.

Two adjustable external belts vary the aperture so you can have it gathered or quite open and the top seals with a self locating popper that comes over to close.

A rare treat from Mulberry's finest design era and one of those fabulous bags thats just got better and better with age and use.

 

Condition - Well Used

 

Details - 

The leather is wonderful. A dark, bitter chocolate colour and a deep grain, there scuffs and scratches to the front lower side and LH side panel and a natural, diagonal striation to the RH side of the base (all shown in the gallery above)

Positively oozing old school charm, the from embossed Mulberry tree is quirkily slightly off centre, all stitching is strong and the inking (edge sealent) is in place throughout.

Corners show light color rubbing, no real wear and the form of the bag is still quite stiff, though will become more slouchy with continued use.

The shoulder straps are slightly softened, though not stretched or sticky and the interior suede is ruffled with general marking and a little discoloration.

The main reason for the condition rating is due to the inevitable wear to the bronze finish of the hardware. A brass metal coated with a bronze layer, friction rubs can be noted on the buckle barrels, scratches to the rivets and strap D rings. 

Made in England, the fabulous workmanship and style is the epitome of Mulberry's glory years and its a bag with many, many more years of service left to give.

No serial number to reverse of internal disc which is common on Mulberrys made in this era, (2008)
