Chanel Vintage Single Flap in Black Lambskin with Gold Hardware - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Chanel Vintage Chanel Vintage Single Flap in Black Lambskin with Gold Hardware.

Classically elegant, this amazingly well kept piece from 1989 has 24 carat Gold Hardware and oodles of vintage charm.

A perfect first foray into the world of Coco or just a Chanel you never need to baby, its an absolute delight to carry and at home in the day as it is in the evening.

Condition -  Well Used

Details -

Loving cared for, its well shaped, colour consistent with the expected quilt deflation but only extremely minor, horizontal compression creases across the lower base.

No marks, no scrapes or scars and hardware is beautifully bright and shiny throughout.

The soft lambskin hide is still nicely glossy without that aged 'matte' look some hides can aquire with time. 

Light fingernail scuffs to the surface throughout....very hard to see, but inevitable.... the most visible are on the upper RH side of the base and the interior, smooth leather lining of the flap, (see detailed photos above).

Surface rubbing to the corner curve of the flaps LH side and to the LH side of the base seam, the remainder of the corners are very good.

A 1.5mm 'dot' scratch to the upper LH rear of the bag (see zoomed photo above), all these tiny issues are visible in the gallery but blend seemlessly into the character of this stunning vintage piece, to the naked eye.

The leather and chain intertwined shoulder strap is very good, without fading, stretching or rubbing to the main. A small, friction rub can be noted on very close inspection to the end of the strap on the RH side as it contacts against the eyelet.

The hardware is a fabulous, rich, intense gold. Friction paling to each side of the hole on the front CC turnlock, the staff is excellent with shallow surface impressions from contacting with the underside plate. The underside plate displays a teeny finish flake on the upper RH side of the base screw head.

All stitching and holding stitches are tight and in place and the flap eyelets are excellent, both inside and out.

 The smooth burgundy leather interior is very good, with only light surface fingernail scratches as shown. There are no flaking, issues or aromas.

Overall, a fabulous Chanel Flap that you'd never need to baby, and cared for well will continue to age gracefully.
