Mulberry Vintage Ledbury Small Bayswater in Black Printed Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Vintage Ledbury Small Bayswater in Black 'Reptile' (vegetable tanned mixed sized) Printed Leather with antiqued brass hardware. 

The forerunner to the SBS, the Ledbury was made without the shoulder strap so is hand held only.

A perfectly proportioned piece and this one is crafted from a beautifully firm, printed hide.

  Condition - Well Used 

Details-

The leather is stunning. Firm, thick with a characterfully spaced, well defined print and a gloriously grainy, yet glossy texture.

Standing up when empty, though not a structured bag the hide is strong with some suppleness that gives it a real robustness and ensures its a Mulberry that will go on and on and on.

No wear to the corners with just one, very well camoflagued, diagonal scuff to the front LH side of the flap, (below the Postmans Lock Plate).... its an incredibly handsome bag.

The usual surface impressions to the top flap from the rear handle base inserts and a little inking (edge sealent) wear and loss to the rear RH side handle base.

A little, flex related inking crackling to the RH interior side of the aperture and to the handles where they have softened with use, as shown.

The Postmans Lock Plate shows some minor scratches to the upper LH side, some friction rubbing to the underside plate, around the turnlock hole and the turnlock end-sides.

The turnlock has a slight creak, but is not loose or damaged and it does not affect the use of the bag in any way.

Fully lined in thick, luxe black suede showing light use and some minor pile flattening to the top flap. An interior slip pocket with adjustable internal belt so you can vary the size of the opening.
