This is a 100% authentic Saint Laurent Classic Small Cabas Y Tote in Grey Calfskin with Antiqued Gold Tone Hardware.

Simple, supple and softly structured, this Petite Cabas is surprisingly roomy.

Crafted from a beautiful, elephant grey, finely grained calfskin with a taupe undertone.... the intensity of the shade changes with the light. 

Condition - Well Used

Details -

A bag that belies its Condition Rating, as without close inspection its collection of small flaws are very hard to see.

The leather is fabulous. Thick and pliable (but not too heavy, weighing in a 724g inclusive), its colour consistent, soft and tactile with a supple silhouette that slouches beautifully when empty, (see photo above).

 A small, shallow surface impression to the front LH side of the bag between the middle tab and the top handle's hardware. A similar, smaller one, just to the lower LH side of the Y plaque. A smatter of tiny scuffs to the lower LH side near the corner and a similar collection to the upper RH top corner, (see all in quad photo above).

This type of very light surface scuff is also present along the lower, rear of the bag,  (again shown in in close up detail in the following quad photo). As it is only affecting the surface colour, (not the texture of the leather) it is likely this may be improved with the application of the correct Colonill Colour Cream, but this is left to the discretion of the buyer and has been reflected in the price.

Top handles and shoulder strap are excellent and all stitching strong.

Some surface impressions to the base, on the LH lower corner, middle and upper RH side with a light fingernal scratch visible to the LH side of this.

A gentle, linear vertical surface impression to the LH rear of the bag, extending from the back LH side of the top tab base to approx one third of the way down. This is from storage and will lift quickly with use.

There is crackling to the inking, (edge sealent) caused by the gentle flexing of the form to both sides top aperture, at the four joins at the top 'lip' (only visible if you bend them backwards to view) and around the edge corners of the bag. Much less noticable than the close up photos make this appear.

Hardware is purposefully distressed and excellent throughout with only the base feet displaying scratches and paling to their apex.

Self lined in in entirely clean suede with two, leather slip sections.

The top of the bag seals by way of a smooth running YSL embossed zip.
