Mulberry Union Jack Classic Heritage Bayswater in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry 'Union Jack' Classic Heritage Bayswater in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather with shiny gold tone hardware and feature, red white and blue enamel lock plate. 

A Selfridges exclusive, designed to celebrate the 2012 Diamond Jubilee, this patriotic piece of loveliness is crafted from a beautifully thick and supple, rich toffee toned, NVT hide.

 Details -

Soft and slouchy when empty, (see photo above), this magnificent Bays is even lovelier for the use she's had over the years.

A mellow, caramel tone, there's no marks, scratches or wear, just one, extremely light, vertical fingernail scratch to the front middle with the tiniest 2mm pale dot above it. Only visible if you angle to view, (see Gallery photos next to the bag on the mannequin), these are almost invisible to the naked eye.

Gentle drying to the corner curves piping, no rubbing or wear, all stitching and inking, (edge sealent) is excellent throughout.

Shoulder straps are well shaped with just the slightest surface impressions to the top flap from their rear base inserts, as is commonly seen on these pieces.

The feature enamel Union Jack Postmans Lock Plate is excellent with one miniscule surface scratch to the lower RH side, (see two zoomed photos above).

The main reason for the Condition Rating is due to the extensive scratches and dulling to the two underside plates from friction contact. Some scratches to the apex of the base feet. No flaking, oxidisation, tarnish or loss of finish to any of the hardware.

Self lined in clean ruffled suede with zipped pocket and two slip pockets.
