Stored carefully since purchase and handled only for review and photographs, the front YSL plaque does not have protective film in place but there are no scratches whatsoever.

The reason for the * rating is due to the flex cracks to the rear bases of the flap sides, as is a natural part of the construction of these pieces. Inevitable with the very first time the flap is opened, this is a normal feature and does not affect the integrity of the piece in any way.
