Mulberry Cara Delevingne Mini Backpack in Dark Oak Natural Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Mini Cara Delevingne Bag in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned (NVT) Leather with brass hardware. 

Now so sadly discontinued, their last RRP was £895

This is how Mulberry described the Cara Family - "The Cara Delevingne Bag is a three-in-one style, uniting Mulberry’s English attitude to beautiful practicality and the inimitable personality of British model Cara Delevingne. Designed to take you anywhere, it can be worn on the back, shoulder or carried hand-held. The bags are made in England at Mulberry’s factories in Somerset and this is proudly stamped on the bottom of each bag, inspired by Cara’s own made in England tattoo on the sole of the foot.

Cara wanted each bag to be like opening a letter with a lovely surprising touch. Inside you can find a small lion rivet and a heart shaped patch based on Cara’s own heart tattoo. Cara said: “I want there to be hidden gems inside, based on things that are personal to me, which my tattoos definitely are.”

The Seller has also included an additional, long, adjustable mini-leopard patterned strap which enable the bag to also be worn cross body.

Details -

Crafted from one of Mulberry's later natural hides, its a rich, dark oak shade (so not like the ashier colourway of early NVT). Thich, characterful and wonderfully robust, its great in the rain (though you still need to protect with Collonil) and though called the 'mini' there's loads of space for everyday.

In a fabulous condition, there's no visible wear to the leather. Corners and curves are excellent with just the natural, slight lightening that comes with use.

Hardware is excellent throughout with some slight paling to the very end of the turnlock which appears as a more silvery tone, (this isn't visible to the naked eye). The underside plaque has a hardy, replacement film protector in place.

Top handles are firm and well shaped with gentle creasing to the bases which has resulted in some minor crackling* to the inking at the inner sides, as shown. (Not visible without the closest of inspections and does not affect the use of the bag in any way).

A tiny and very vague 2mm pale spot to the LH side's flap inlet, on the RH edge just below the stitching. Again shown in the photo of the handle base, this is completely concealed by the handle in use.

The two, webbed straps are gently ruffled, no pulls or rubs and stitching all strong throughout.

The interior is entirely clean, self lined suede with a sturdy, rigid, leather clad base panel displaying a few very light surface impressions from the contents of the bag in use. The flaps interior suede displays some natural horizontal flattening of the pile where it rests on the seam of the bag, when closed.
