This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Del Rey (Larger Sized) in Black Glossy Goat Leather with Shiny Silver Nickel Hardware.

The longer handled, shoulder version of the larger sized Del Rey, it's such a fabulous everyday bag and getting harder to find in a good condition.

Lots of space, secure, easy to use and light to carry for its capacity, its a one of those bags you'll never need to baby.

Crafted from a beautifully grainy, ultra robust and wonderfull firm, midnight black, glossy goatskin with an almost metallic sheen....the silver hardware literally gleams in contrast.

Without close inspection, this lovely DR looks to be in an Excellent condition.

Protective film in place on the spring loaded mini padlock, between the two underside lockplates and reverse of the Mulberry coin (on the serial number), its been used carefully and cared for very well.

A nicely firm and upright silhouette, (see standing up when empty), this is a bag that will relax and soften with use, becoming more slouchy and supple in time.

A thick, grainy hide, it's entirely colour consistent, there's no wear to the corner curves, just a few, light fingernail scratches to the surface of the leather on the upper LH side, lower middle and lower edge of the base, (see close up photos provided).

Three, shallow surface impressions to the rear, lower RH side of the bag, though only one is immediately visible without close review.

Shoulder straps are firm and well shaped with a small, 1mm catch to the RH side of the front handle.

The reason for the Condition Rating is due to the finish loss and crazing* to the Silver Nickel coated hardware, as is so often seen on these pieces. Crazing is a deterioration of the surface finish of the metal and appears like a shattered mirror. Visible to the front of the Mulberry coin (to the interior of the bag) and to the singular, RH, rear, D ring.

The Postmans Lock Plate displays very light crazing, (only visible if you angle the plate sharply downwards to view) and friction related finish loss around the turnlock hole and lower, middle perimeter, as shown.

Very hard to see without close inspection, this has been reflected in the price.

Protective film in place to the two underside plates of the front flap pocket. The padlock retains its protective film and base feet display only minor dulling to their apex.

Lined in entirely clean black Mulberry Tree fabric with suede lined top flap, there is a large zipped pocket to the main compartment and a leather trimmed slip section.

Made in England.
