Mulberry Classic East West Bayswater in Chocolate Printed Natural Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic East West Bayswater in Chocolate Printed Natural Leather with antiqued brass hardware.

The 'baguette' Bayswater, so sadly now discontinued, this style is a perfectly proportioned shoulder bag.

Crafted from a large scale, croc printed calfskin (called Reptile), the amazing 'padded' profile of this finish is timelessly classic.

Though its rare for the Nest to sell a Well Used piece, there are some bags that are just so lovely, it would be wrong not to!

A particularly handsome bag from an era gone by, its been carried extensively but is a testiment to the longevity of Mulberry at its best.

Crafed from a robust, thick and firm, naturally tanned hide, its a consistent rich, dark chocolate shade throughout.

Glossy, without wear to the corners or curves, no marks or visible scratches or scuffs to the exterior, it will stand up empty and shoulder straps are still firm and well shaped.

Softening and creasing to the handle bases with inking (edge sealent) wear and loss to the sides. The straps themselves are very good with only miniscule flex crackles to the inner inking that line the inner edges.

However, as is so often found with this finish, there are small, water spots to the surface of the hide. Shown in close up in the Gallery above, they appear as very slightly raised 'bubbles' and are caused by the bag being carried in the rain before being Collonil protected. Extremely hard to see without close inspection.

 An area of dulling and scratching to the Postmans Lock Plate, below the turnlock hole and finish loss to the sides of the turnlock. Contact friction scratches and finish loss to the underside plate, the base plate is Very Good.

Inking wear to the top aperture of the bag and loss at the two top sides where the flap flexes (this looks so much worse in the photos than in real life!)

Fulled lined in entirely clean black Mulberry Tree, silky jacquard fabric with a side zipped pocket. A number of fingernail scratches can be noted to the leather above the interior zip, as shown.

The internal, ball and staff, push-through belt can be alterated to increase or decrease the aperture as desired.
