This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Vintage Effie Shoulder Satchel in Vanilla Darwin Leather with Antique Brass Hardware.

Preppy cool, this roomy shoulder bag from one of Mulberrys finest design eras is crafted from original Darwin Leather in a creamy, rice-pudding shade.

Easy to use self locating popper sealing 'buckles' to the front flap & handy pockets to either side, its everything you'd want from a classic Mulberry.

Details -

Colour consistent, 'Vanilla' has a yellow undertone which intensifies under artificial light. In natural daylight the shade is a pale, cream but the yellow pigment can appear stronger, as shown in the gallery above.

No evidence of use, the reason for the Condition Rating is due to a combination of inherent characteristics and age.

A robust, hardy leather with a characterful grain, its strong whilst not being too thick, which ensures the bag isn't heavy (weighing in at 678g).

Well shaped, the flap is naturally supple so whilst the body is quite firm, the satchel flap sits nicely over the top with the two faux buckles sealing firmly.

All stitching tight, all inking (edge sealent) in place with the exception of a couple of small rubs to the two front, corner curves.

Hardware excellent and shoulder strap perfect, the interior is self lined in pristine suede. Please note there are natural score like striations in this suede which forms an entirely normal feature of the finish.

A small, very vague shadow to the surface of the hide on the front, upper LH side of the flap, (see zoomed photo) and to the RH side of the flap on the RH side pocket. This is stray adhesive (glue) used in the construction of these pieces which only darkens and discolours with time, becoming visble. 

A streak of adhesive to the side panel of the LH side pocket can also be noted.

As is commonly found on this hide there are some 'dots' to the surface of the finish. Two on the rear of the bag, (one upper middle and the other, lower LH) and two to the front, upper RH side of the bag. Shown in the last photo in the Gallery above.
