This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Heritage Bayswater in Oak Natural Vegetable Tanned Leather with Brushed Golden Brass Hardware.

Mulberry's original design, this timeless, classic shoulder bag is is crafted from a particularly handsome, dark, tobacco-oak toned hide.

Purchased in January 2019 from Mulberry's Bicester Factory Shop, this piece isn't designated as a 'Sub', (substandard) however there is an issue identfied which is the reason its likely to have been sold via this Outlet store, (please read details below).

Almost cognac in colour the hide leans more towards the more recent Classic Grain leather than the early NVT as is very supple with an even grain and a gentle surface gloss, (which helps it shrug off scuffs and repel rain with ease).

Gently softened, it will stand empty but the base will slouch in use. (A firm base shaper can be added to remedy or a thick Felt Liner will increase rigidity).

There are the commonly seen surface impressions to the top flap from the rear, handle base inserts and the top handles display a little darkening and patina from being hand held.

A minor, vertical surface scratch to the RH side panel, near the base, a tiny scuff to the middle front and a miniscule one to the LH side of the base foot patch, shown in the Gallery above.

All stitching firm and tight and inking (edge sealent) in place with some dot scuffing to the interior, front aperture's seam.

No wear to the base corners. There is a small white mark to the front, RH side curve as shown.

The reason for the Condition Rating is due to an issue caused during the construction of the piece. For some reason the craftsman appears to have applied a light layer of inking over the corner curves. Unnoticable in use, its only under close examination can you see the textural and colour differential over the piping and surround. 

There is also small and very vague smudge of stray inking to the middle, rear of the bag, (see location highlighted and shown beneath with the zoom). Again, to the naked eye this is barely visible.

The brushed brass hardware has a slightly mottled appearance with the minutest silvering paling to the upper curve of the Postmans Lock Plate (a few scratches can also be noted,) and around the perimeter of the underside plates. 

A small, light, diagonal pen mark to the suede on the interior of the top flap, near the underside plate.
