The Dogon wallet or coin purse, echoes the theme of Africa, which was given pride of place by Hermès in 1997. Recognizable by its Clou de Selle clasp where a leather strap is delicately slipped through, it is lined with lamb leather.  Details -

The leather is sublime. Colour consistent, evenly and deeply grained, wonderfully softened and entirely perfect throughout. No scratches, scuffs, marks or issues, it really is utterly stunning.

Incredibly tactile, the form is supple but not floppy and feels amazing in the hand.

Gentle, natural surface impressions to the smooth lambskin lining from the construction of the piece, all stitching is tight and the palladium plated 'Clou de Selle' closure is bright and shiny with only minor, hairline scratches, as shown.

Surface drying and wear to the inking (edge sealent) on the corner curves where the purse folds and the sides of the push through tab.

Inking wear to the front pocket's edge on the removable change purse / zip pouch's two front exterior pockets, (extremely hard to notice unless you know its there.) 

The soft, smooth lambskin lining is glorious and immaculate throughout.
