This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Small 'Coca' Bayswater Satchel in Black Small Classic Grain with Antiqued Brushed Silver Hardware.

 The trapezoid styled, smaller sized 'New Styled' Bayswater crafted from a supple, grainy and evenly grained hide. 

This is how Mulberry described their revamped masterpiece in 2017. "The Bayswater is a Mulberry icon and has been one of our most popular styles since it arrived in 2003. Now, over a decade later, Creative Director Johnny Coca has taken the iconic style and refined some key features to further enhance the beauty and practicality of its design. For the Small Bayswater the strap attachment has been optimised. New branding has been added under the flap. We want the classic, elegant aesthetic of the Small Bayswater to endure for decades to come."

Details -

The form is nicely softened though there is no wear. Corners, curves, inking, (edge sealent), stitching and hardware all excellent. Entirely colour consistent, there are no scratches, scuffs or detriment of any kind to. The piece displays no issues but has the feel of a bag that has been used and enjoyed.

An almost demi-matte texture to the leather, it's hard to capture on camera but its very lovely and the anodized silver hardware compliments it beautifully.

Protective film in place on base plate, there are no scratches to the Postmans Lock Plate or turnlock, its an incredibly hardy piece and an extremely forgiving hardware finish.

Shallow surface impressions to the top flap from the rear handle base inserts, as is commonly seen on these pieces. The top handles are firm, well shaped and the long shoulder strap similarly excellent.

The interior has a zipped pocket and slip pocket and is self lined in clean black suede. Light general ruffling and minor flattening to the pile where it rests on seams and the underside of the Postmans Lock.
