Balenciaga Classic City in Black Agneau with Dark Aged Brass Hardware - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Balenciaga Classic City in Black Agneau with Dark Aged Brass Hardware.

Crafted from the darkest, inkiest black, super crackly and gorgeously glossy, soft arena lambskin this lovely Bal isn't perfect but is still so incredibly beautiful. 

Please note this is the short shoulder strap drop version so can't be worn long at the side or cross body.

Details -

Firstly, don't be deterred by the Condition Rating....without close inspection, it looks superb.

Dark, sultry, gloriously supple and slouchy, this stunning Bal is a piece that you can use and enjoy without worry,

Such a characterful hide, there are no visible marks or scratches, just the light rubs to the glaze on the corners and top curves which appear slightly more matte.

Tassles are excellent with the usual gentle kinks and twists to the ones that attach to the mirror and slight dryness to the very top of the zip pocket's tassle.

No colour variation between the bag and mirror, just an area of small 'dotty' surface impressions to the leather clad rear, (almost like a wee puppy or small child has softly given it a little chomping!)

The detachable shoulder strap is excellent and though the top handles are unsoftened with whipstitching all tight and unworn, there has been some minor movement in the inner tubes, inside the handles, resulting in a very slightly twisted appearance to the front LH handle base and the rear LH sides base, (see photos above). Extremely hard to notice unless expressly pointed out and does not affect the piece in any way.

Stitching all strong and hardware excellent with an entirely natural antiqued finish which has a purposefully 'aged' look.

Inking, (edge sealant) in place with the exception of a couple of small crackles to the inking to the front top handle and three areas of small cracks to the top aperture, where the natural movement of the bag has caused the inking to flex, (see close up photos above). This is much less noticable to the naked eye and doesn't affect the the piece in any way.

 Lined in clean black cotton with a full depth zipped pocket and two slips.
