The robust, smooth black calfskin and hardware is excellent throughout.

Used only once, however as is inevitable as soon as carried the surface and edges of the woven webbing rubs and ruffles with small tufts to the weave visible on close inspection. This is a natural feature and doesn't affect the piece in any way.
