Mulberry Classic Small Bayswater Satchel in Hibiscus Red Small Classic Grain - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Small Bayswater Satchel in Hibiscus Red Small Classic Grain with Shiny Golden Brass Hardware.

So sadly no longer being produced by Mulberry, the 'SBS' is the ideal size for everyday.

 The classically styled Small Bayswater Satchel was the second incarnation of Mulberrys baby-bayswater. The first was the Ledbury which was made without a shoulder strap, then the SBS was born and it continued to share all the wonderful, heritage charm and features of its larger namesake, but with the addition of the long strap that attached at each side and allowed you to wear on the shoulder or cross body. A reincarnation or two later and Mulberry introduced the Soft Small Bayswater which shared the same dimensions but the strap clipped on to two D rings at the back, (not the side). Now just the full size Classic Bayswater and a mini version remain....the SBS will be so very missed!

A curvy but strong silhouette and crafted from a soft, pebbly, flame red hide, its the perfect way to add a PoP of colour to any outfit.

Details-

Without close inspection this piece looks to be in an Excellent condition.

A light, curved surface impression to the lower front RH side where the front top handle has rested in storage, (this will lift quickly with use), the top handle now has a slight, forward lean, (see photo when empty).

There are two light pressure indentations to the back of the top flap, caused by the rear handle base inserts, as is naturally found on this model.

No immediately visible wear, its entirely colour consistent, shoulder strap is As-New and all stitching and inking, (edge sealent) is firmly in place.

A very small and extremely light, surface smudge of stray inking to the front, RH side of the bag, (just to the RH side of the base plate). Almost imperceptible, this was present from construction and is completely covered by the flap in use.

A few light hairline scratches to the Postmans Lock plate and friction contact rubbing between the two underside plates, the interior is fully lined in pristine, indigo-blue soft microfibre with zipped pocket.

The main reason for the Condition Rating is due the rubbing to the front RH & rear LH base corner's piping curves. Shown close-up in the quad collation above, this is barely visible to the naked eye, however when zoomed-in, the wear can be noted.

The reason for the *notation is due to the perfumed aroma from the previous owner. Very pleasant, not stored or masking, I've been informed it's 'Miss Dior.'
