 This is a 100% authentic Saint Laurent YSL Large Niki Matelassé Shoulder Bag in Dark Legion Red Matelassé Crumpled Vernice with Antiqued Silver Hardware.

 Crafted from a stunning, rich damson-berry toned, glossy, distressed and crinkly 'Aged' calfskin hide, the Large Niki is the perfect alternative to a Chanel Crave Maxi Flap.... at a fraction of the price.

Supple, unstructured but so strong and robust, it's marvellously impervious to the British weather and a bag you'll never need to baby.

Details -

Roomy, yet light for its size, there is a front pocket beneath the flap, a full width and depth rear slip pocket that seals by way of a concealed magnetic fastener and a a zipped pocket and leather slip pocket to the central compartment.

Such a beautiful colour, somewhere between burgundy and claret, the fabulous distressed, wrinkly texture of this 'aged' leather gives it such an amazing depth and tone.

No immediately visible wear, just well softened and creasy, the base corners disply only the very lightest evidence of use, (any white marks in the photos are purely light reflections. The vernice has an amazing ability to camoflague wear incredibly well, so even with more use, it will stay looking lovely.

A tiny catch to the leather on the top RH corner of the leather clad, 'Y' on the front YSL plaque. Shown looking its absolute worst in the close up photo its almost invisible to the naked eye!

Stitching all strong, inking, (edge sealent) in place and the flattened geometric chain (a hardware very similar to Ruthenium ) is perfect. Very gentle softening to the two leather sections of the shoulder strap.

Lined in clean, black grossgrain cotton.
