From the 2020 'Bags: Inside Out' exhibition at the V&A Museum (sponsored by Mulberry) celebrating the unique status of bags in our lives it dived into the history of handbags as both a cultural phenomena and as iconic pieces of design. The vibrantly exotic, dark floral print was inspired by the opulence of chinoiserie and a 20th century furnishing fabric from the V&A’s archive. Mulberry's creative team used this motif to animate a selection of their iconic silhouettes, creating a timeless collection, steeped in design history.

The small Darley shoulder bag is softly structured and will relax further with use. Crafted from a calfskin hide with a gentle gloss and goatskin printed texture, the bold chinoiserie print completes it magnificently.

Released in very limited numbers these pieces quickly sold out, becoming collector items, however it's far too beautiful just to sit, unused on shelf!!!

Only removed from packaging for inspection and photos, it's just been stored carefully since purchase. 

Perfect in every way the only reason for the *notation is due to the lifting of the protective film to the lockplates, (hardware beneath is pristine.)

A useful slip pocket to the external rear of the bag that seals via a concealed magnetic snap closure.

Fully lined in soft, black microfibre, ruffled from tissue paper stuffing only.

Made in England.

Attached chain and leather shoulder strap has a drop of 27cm when doubled and 49cm single, (not suited to cross body wear as will sit above hip level.)
