This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Classic Bayswater in Oak Grained Vegetable Tanned Leather (GVT) with Shiny Gold Hardware.

The classic Bayswater crafted from a thick, grainy textured and fabulously firm hide.

A structured silhouette but not hard sided, it softens gently with use but never becomes slouchy, so ideal if you prefer your bags to maintain more of an upright shape.

A rich chestnut-oak shade with a gentle gloss, GVT has an even but pronounced, more pebbly grain than 'Small Classic Grain' and acquires character as it ages.

Still with the feel of a quite a 'new' piece, at first review you'd think this lovely Baysawater has barely been carried.

Stored in its dustbag with shoulder straps leaning to the left, they will gradually even back to an upright position with use.

Without any immediately visible wear, all stitching is tight and inking (edge sealent) in place.

The main reason for the Condition Rating is due to the scuffing* to the piping trims and curves around the corner areas. Shown in detail above, they are very well camouflaged, so much less noticable than the close up photos make them appear.

The shiny gold Postmans Lock Plate is excellent with only a few, miniscule hairline surface scratches and protective film remains in place on internal buckle barrels and Mulberry disc. The underside plate displays contact pitting and light scratching from resting against the base plate and the base place has dulled very slightly from friction. Base feet have acquired light scratches to their apex from being placed down.

Light surface impressions to the rear of the top flap from the two handle base inserts, (as is the nature of the design), there's a small 3mm surface scratch to the RH side of the rear shoulder strap, as shown.
