This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Chiltern Buckle Satchel in Oxblood Coloured Grain Vegetable Tanned Leather with Golden Brass Hardware.

A handsome, retro-styled satchel bag with a useful, rear zipped pocket, it's a piece that combines curvy & angular perfectly.

A unisex design, it's generously sized and crafted in a evenly grained, vegetable tanned hide, (a larger and more pebbly grain than the current, 'Small Classic Grain'....just as firm and robust but with just that little more character.)

An especially attractive, Black Forest / deep burgundy shade, the contrast stitching gives it a heritage feel and the real buckle closure seals the deal.

This is how Mulberry describe the Chiltern Satchel - "The buckle has long been a Mulberry signature. The Chiltern Satchel has a retro-inspired and compact shape with a central buckle. The long shoulder strap can be adjusted to wear on the shoulder or across the body, and there is an additional short top handle for multiple ways to carry."

Details -

The exterior of the piece is in an Excellent condition. Entirely colour consistent, without wear to corners or curves and just one, tiny scratch to the surface of the hide on the upper RH rear of the bag, (location circled and also then shown with the zoom.)

Hardware excellent, inking (edge sealent) all in place and stitching strong. This is a piece that is built to last.

Two shoulder straps, the shorter, wide Mulberry embossed one can be worn on the shoulder and the longer, removable one is adjustable (though due to the dimensions of the satchel and the drop, I wouldn't recommended as a crossbody bag.)

The interior is lined in a thick oxblood suede with two suede slip pockets, and a front slip pocket. There is also a useful, large zip pocket to the rear of the bag.

The main reason for the Condition Rating is due to the darkening to the suede along the rear, top aperture. There is minor flattening to the pile and general ruffling throughout with a number of marks to the suede lining of the top flap, as shown.
