Mulberry Oversized Alexa Satchel in Petrol Silky Snake Printed Leather - SOLD

This is a 100% authentic Mulberry Alexa Oversized Satchel in Petrol Silky Snake Printed Leather with Feature Shiny Gold Tone Postman's Lock Plate.

Born in 2014, a current RRP is unavailable but this is a regular sized, plain lock Alexa on M.com, (colour is actually Nightshade Blue, not Petrol)

A rare opportunity to acquire an unused, originally styled larger sized Lexy in the incredible, silky snake printed calfskin. 

A finish that relaxes and becomes more defined with time and use, each individually hand carved snake scale is meticulously cut creating an intricate Anaconda effect that gives this hide so much depth and character.

An especially revered version with snake scale textured lockplate, these pieces are few & far between.

Details -

Original protective film in place on hardware, (they applied it a bit less neatly back then!) this luscious Alexa has been just stored carefully since purchase.

A subdued teal shade, it's entirely colour consistent, well shaped (see standing empty) and all stitching and inking in place. A supple silhouette, it will soften quickly with use, developing a lovely, slouchy shape that moulds perfectly to your side in use.

Please note, the Condition Rating reflects only the inherent nature of this finish and the price reflects the delicacy of the leather type. This hide immediately shows dimension from construction and due to its nature, the scales will curl slightly at the edges with the natural movement of the bag as soon as handled. This is a characteristic of the material type and not a fault.

There are numerous, gently lifted scales over the surface of the bag, which shows as lighter tones beneath the surface of the scale edges. None are particularly noticable as blends with the overall texture and forms a uniform and purposeful characteristic of the bag.

Slight dulling to the two, circular, magnetic base snaps, as shown.

The interior is lined in black Mulberry Tree jacquard cotton with a leather trimmed slip section, zipped pocket and soft, suede lined top flap.
