Chanel Vintage Curved Medium Double Flap Bag in Black Lambskin with 24K Gold Hardware

This is a 100% authentic Chanel Vintage Curved Medium Double Flap Bag in Black Lambskin with 24 carat Pure Gold Hardware.

Whilst it's rare for the Nest to stock vintage Chanel, there are some that are so incredibly beautiful it would be wrong not to.

Soft, inky black quilted lambskin with gleaming, real gold hardware its been carried with love but is in an amazing condition  for a 1 series, (1989-1991.)

Purchased from XUPES 28.03.23 and carried only a handful of times by its buyer, these classics were crafted from the finest of materials so really do grow lovelier and lovelier as they age.

This timeless Chanel displays all the usual characteristics of a lovingly owned vintage piece.

No aroma, the silhouette is still nicely firm and upright with creasing to the form of the LH side panel and gentle deflating to the quilt througout.

Colour consistent, there are numerous light fingernail scuffs to the lambskin throughout, a few very small dot scratches to the upper rear, (just above the pocket seam) and a little diagonal scratch to the base's upper RH corner.

Flap edges and two front base corner curves are excellent. The two rear base corner curves display very light surface wear, however this is not visible to the naked eye.

Stitching all tight and the rich gold hardware is beautifully bright and shiny with the only inevitable hairline surface scratches and minor dulling to the base turnlock. 

The shoulder strap feels divine in the hand and both the intertwined leather and chain are excellent. Please note the drop is not suitable for cross body wear.

Creasing and surface impressions to the internal flap's lambskin from the zip header and eyelets. The popper closes securely and both slip sections are without detriment.

 The interior is lined in clean, burgundy lambskin displaying general use and creasing. The  two slip pockets are flush and without detriment. There is a small, vague pale mark to the lining on the inner LH side panel of the bag and a small dark mark to the upper LH side, (by the holding stitch.)

Overall, a fabulous vintage Chanel that is so much nicer in the flesh than a listing of her wear makes her sound . Without a doubt, if cared for well, she will continue to age gracefully and bring joy for years to come.
